Fun-filled Fall Days

So you guys are getting a glimpse into my mind through my drawings and you will probably be surprised. If this is not even funny then I wasn't really intending it to be funny. But if you smile, then that was all planned. I'm rambling, I know it.

But I figured out how to actually sketch on SketchbookPro (which I just bought about a week ago). I'm probably a blonde, but I did figure it out. So that makes me a half-blonde? A dirty blonde? Whatever, I'm tired. So here is the aforesaid art.

I know, a little weird. I wasn't really sure what to do with this. I got the muscle on his left arm wrong, but didn't notice it until just now, so too late. I had no idea what I would end up doing when I started drawing shapes and it sorta turned out to be this guy.. The hair is very interesting. And since I didn't feel like giving him perfect hair, I gave him a little clump of rebellious hair in the back. =) His nose is his main feature, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'm definitely still in the learning stage of shading, but it's getting there.

So my relatives from Louisiana are out here, so school is off. We have been partying so much it's been pretty much crazy. One night we read a really funny article (eulogy?). Here, let me know what you think.

"Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was considered a very smart cookie, but wasted much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

This literally cracked us up. Believe me, reading it aloud was very hard. Then we listened to Aaron Wilburn's "If My Nose Was Running Money" song. The beginning part is the best. =)

We just have so much fun over here. Fun, fun, fun.

This was very fun to do. The eyes were the hardest part, but I'm learning and enjoying it. =)

Ladybugs

Okay, really quick.

~Did you guys know that ladybugs squirt a smelly liquid from their knees when they are scared?

~Do you know where the name "ladybug" comes from? Mary (our Lady) was often depicted wearing a red cloak in early paintings with spots of the seven spot ladybug, most common in Europe at the time.

~Ladybugs can also be called "God's cow", "ladyclock","lady cow", "and lady fly".

There, now you can consider yourself "Lady-bug educated". =P
