School Has Started!

Alright. I'm really sorry I haven't posted lately.

So school started about 3 weeks ago. I am now officially into my first day of my 4th week of my first quarter of my freshman year! About 6th grade, I thought that high school was going to be really, really hard! But since it only gradually got harder, I didn't really notice it. But compared to 6th grade, high school is a lot more exciting!

Me encanta aprender español!
[I love learning Spanish]

And I get to study Biology! I just started today, so I have two weeks worth of Biology to take down. It's fun, though, so I should get it done in time. Every now and then, Emily and I get to meet with Allison and Matty Pyle! Biology is so much funner with good friends!

I am also really enjoying Reflection. My group is awesome! I like the feel of the the group discussions but the small group discussions are my favorite. I've almost got my questions done, how about you guys?

Well, got to go do some schoolwork, see you all later.

My Bible Reading

Lately I've been reading through Deuteronomy. Yup, enjoying all the various laws. Until I found this particular law.

This is Deuteronomy 21:18-21.

"If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or his mother, and when they chastise him, he will not even listen to them,
then his father and mother shall seize him, and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gateway of his hometown.
They shall say to the elders of his city, 'This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and drunkard.'
Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear of it and fear."

This really makes me think. I have to say, the first verse can often remind me of myself. Although I know that it is sin, I tend to play it down. Would I really deserve death for just being rebellious and not listening? Yes, the Bible says it clearly.  The problem is, I think, that we see so much rebellion, that it becomes wrong but not death-deserving wrong. This is another of the good reasons I'm finding for constantly reading the Scriptures. Reminding myself of real truth is essential for me. I too often find myself beginning to think like the world in certain areas. The Scriptures are my reason for sanity from the insanity of this world.

Anyway

"Awesomazingtastical"

Alright, Hope, here is my version of "awesomazingtastical" for right now. Until I can come up with a brilliant idea, this is my definition.

Now this is why it is awesomazingtastical:
Awesome-Black and White & Full Color
Amazing-A horse is a detective/spy/[or a guy with an outdated wardrobe]
Fantastical-Because it's very much fantasy-ical. =P

Those are my reasons. If you guys can come up with more reasons, I would love to hear them.

And on another note, I would just like to express my gratitude for your choice of adjectives. I have really enjoyed drawing them. But I also have a favor to ask of you. If you have some time on your hands, would you please go ask a brother, father, or friend [that is a boy] what is the first adjective that comes into his head. Then if you would come back to this blog and tell me what he says, and I'll try to draw it. Thanks. I can't wait to hear them! =)
